The sun on my face as I touch my toe to the grill rocking.  I start to fall asleep, and the dog whining wakes me.  I call him and he realizes he can actually reach me, he jumps up.   And rests his head on my chest after licking me repeatedly.  The cat rubbing on the [...]

Cannot Sleep

Waking at 4am
Mrs. Havershams wedding dress
seeping cloying mustiness
so thick I am nauseated.
Light’s on its 5AM
Jane Eyre’s dove grey travelling dress
embittered, restive, loneliness
so brittle I am already in pieces.
Coffee on it’s 6am
Darth Vader’s hard shell vest
fierce, hateful, ugliness

Tucson AZ

So I haven’t posted in a week because I have just spent the last week touring Tucson AZ, becoming absolutely captivated by the cacti, and finding fiber treasures.  I am just back so I will post more in the coming days.  I am completely enamored with the saguaro cactus.

I worked all day on Saturday, happy to rush home and take the dog for a nice long walk.  I took a couple pictures before I realize I had accidentally left my chip in the reader.  It was gorgeous, cool, my cheeks were flushed after the long fast walk in the wind.  I stopped at [...]
