I want to write but my feelings are so strong and so deep right now it is difficult to express how I am feeling. I am also really nauseous and have a tummy ache, perhaps the stomach bug but I am not sure. I haven’t been sleeping well, i am disturbed every night by horrible [...]
A Road Trip

We went to Rochester to a comfortable and homey cafe called The Mez and saw a gypsy band called the Cafe Antarsia Ensemble, which was a good band with traditional syle drums and accoustic guitars and mandolins. They played songs inspired by their Greek heritage, trips to Romania and Coal Mining roots. The walls were smattered [...]

Plant Seed, Pull Weed
I finally decided that the pain in my pelvis was not a simple thing that was going to go away on it’s own and called in sick today. I went to the OB/GYN and discovered that I am not dying, nor pregnant thank all the Gods and Goddesses in heaven for that. [...]

I put in the storms this afternoon, despite the warm sunny day, the night and tomorrow are promising a cooling trend. I walked the dog to the park again today, it was a pretty fast but contemplative walk. I have so much to think over, so many unanswered questions, so much about myself lost and [...]

Leaf Bug
I believe this leaf shaped bug is called a Katydid, and I found it in my backyard over the weekend. One of the students I have is named Kathryn and I frequently call her Katydid, it is a weird habit I have of calling people nicknames. I have another student I call by a [...]
Pumpkins and Apples

We hit the apple picking and pumpkin patch a little late this year. Morgan and I decided to go someplace new this year, Abbot’s Farms, because neither one of us could handle going to the old place by ourselves. The day dawned an absolutely glorious day, a pecfectly picturesque October day. My Mom was in [...]
October Blue Sky

I think that the sky in October is a particularly beautiful shade of blue. This weekend was crystal clear and warm, the kind of days that make you wait just a bit longer to put in the storm windows and doors. The maple tree in the front of the house is an amazing fire orange [...]
