This photo is from a couple weeks ago. I have been walking quite a bit in the park, but it has been pretty cold and not too much new seems to be happening. In my garden the azaleas are starting to bud, and the salvia is just beginning to bloom and I have two lonely dark purple iris braving the chill. I seem to have trouble at this time of year, it always seems to be a lull in blooms. I don’t know why exactly, but this is one time of the year that I just feel like I am super busy, but I am not sure that I actually am. It’s weird how that happens, maybe it is the nicer weather has me out more, or out and about more. School usually has tons of extra events, but since my daughter has entered high school I have found that extra school activities (for me) are out of the question, I usually have a zillion errands to run and she has ownership over about half of the zillion things.
The dog I think is getting a bit arthritic which makes me sad. These cold nights have really had an effect on him in the mornings. I sit on the landing at the top of the stairs to put on my socks and shoes and he gets some morning “sugar”. Ths morning he hobbled out and I gave his front shoulders a massage, he was loving it. Most years, by now, he has had his shaggy coat cut to a puppy cut, which makes him look like he is a black lab not Border Collie/Australian Shepard; he would be really cold this year if I had. I actually had the furnace on last night and this morning. I am not sure I have ever run it this late in the spring.
This image is a flower that I see in the neighborhood that I think is pretty.
